ANC bigwig Jessie Duarte has attacked the Democratic Alliance saying the country should not be led by neo-colonialists who looked like revolutionaries, the City Press reported on Saturday.
“Let us be careful comrades, these neo-liberals and neo-colonialists are singing and dancing like we do, but we know that in their private meetings they want to take this country backwards," the African National Congress deputy secretary-general was quoted as saying in Port Elizabeth.
"Theirs is to protect the interests of the minority.”
She was addressing a rally in the Eastern Cape earlier on Saturday.
Duarte called on party members to organise the movement in the branches and make sure it was strong and healthy ahead of next year's general elections.
