African National Congress treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize has reportedly admitted that the Nkandla scandal "is affecting the ANC."
According to the Sunday Independent, Mkhize said that the party was uncomfortable with the situation and felt that it needed to be investigated further.
Mkhize reportedly said that the communication process had not been managed properly and that that had been a mistake. He said that the ministers involved should have communicated amongst themselves.
The treasurer-general however did not say that the more than R200-million upgrade to President Zuma's KwaZulu-Natal homestead should not have happened.
Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela, is set to release her report on Nkandla on 19 March.
