African National Congress Youth League President Julius Malema has indicated that he will only debate with Democratic Alliance leader, Helen Zille, and not the party?s youth wing representative.

On Wednesday he said other youth league leaders were only trying to gain publicity by trying to debate with him.

Malema said he did not take part in a youth forum on Talk Radio 702/567 Cape Talk two weeks ago because other youth organisations were not on his level.

He said he was not going to help other organisations.

"I don't have time to be promoting small parties. So, they must get their own promotions. I think I should debate with Helen Zille and not them because I don't think they've met that standard of political engagement," said Malema.
