A row over President Jacob Zuma's bodyguards is continuing with the Mail & Guardian's staff the latest to be harassed.
A photographer and intern were detained on Wednesday for trying to take pictures of President Jacob Zuma's home in Forest Town.
On Tuesday, Eyewitness News online journalist Tshepo Lesole was manhandled by Zuma's VIP guards and forced to delete pictures he had taken of their cars.
Mail and Guardian Editor Nic Dawes said there was no reason for them to behave in this way as Zuma himself was in Zimbabwe.
"The house is not a national key point, it's a public street. You can't see much of it from the street in fact and as far as I'm aware taking pictures from the street is not illegal.
"I asked them on what basis they were holding the two and they said 'we're not holding them, they've just got to stay here'," said Dawes.
