At least 50 people were killed and hundreds of homes were submerged under water, after a dam near the Indonesian capital Jakarta burst its walls early on Friday, a health ministry official said.
"The death toll is now at 50. It's simply gone up because we've found more bodies," national crisis centre head Rustam Pakaya told AFP.
The toll was expected to rise as search teams look through submerged homes, Pakaya said.
