A farmer in Russia's Siberian region of Altai committed suicide using a chainsaw after a drinking session with his brother, investigators said.
The 55-year-old farmer was drinking with his visiting younger brother, when "the thought came to him of taking his life," the Altai Investigative Committee said in a statement.
"He went out to a tool shed and took a chainsaw that he used to slash his throat. He died on the spot from his wounds."
Investigators are holding an inquiry into his death.
